Derrek Sims, Standley Lake's leading scorer, solidified his role on Tuesday. Sims went 8-for-12 on his way to 17 points along with seven assists and five boards. The effort marked the most assists he has had since back in January of 2024. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last ten games he's played.

Looking ahead, Sims and Standley Lake will square off against D'Evelyn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sims has dominated as far as field goal percentage are concerned (he's averaged 49% per game this season), but he's got his work cut out for him considering the Jaguars have only allowed 0.35 per game this season.
