After a string of four wins, Dayspring Christian Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Lyons Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-14, 17-25, 25-16, 25-12.

Bella Flores paced Dayspring Christian Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Flores got some help from Addy Konzek and her 25 assists. Hadley Bonnell controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Dayspring Christian Academy's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-5. As for Lyons, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Dayspring Christian Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Belleview Christian at 5:00 p.m. on the 25th. Meanwhile, Lyons will challenge rival Highland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
