After flying high against Nolan Catholic last Tuesday, Trinity Christian came back down to earth. The Trinity Christian Trojans wound up on the wrong side of a rough 16-1 walloping at the hands of the John Paul II Cardinals on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Trinity Christian of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
Trinity Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Booker, who went 1-for-1 with an RBI.
On John Paul II's side, Abby McGraw was incredible, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Burkley Barnes, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Trinity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for John Paul II, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 23-2.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Parish Episcopal the next time they take the field. John Paul II will head out to face Parish Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Trinity Christian will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
