Volleyball Recap: Hartfield Academy Wins Going Away Against Simpson Academy

Hartfield Academy won the last time they faced Simpson Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hawks blew past the Cougars 3-0. The Hawks not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28th (when they won 3-0).

Hartfield Academy's got stronger as the match went on, holding Simpson Academy to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14, 25-12.

Logan Swan was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 13 digs. That's the most digs she has posted over her last seven matches.

Hartfield Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 13 consecutive games.

Hartfield Academy's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Simpson Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Coincidentally, Hartfield Academy and Simpson Academy will both be playing Jackson HomeSchool the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Victors at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Hawks will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
