Soccer Game Preview: Pomfret School vs. Wilbraham & Monson Academy

The Pomfret School Griffins will challenge the Wilbraham & Monson Academy Titans at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Pomfret School fell victim to Mount St. Charles Academy and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 5-0 to the Mounties. While losing is never fun, Pomfret School can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 79th in Connecticut, while Mount St. Charles Academy are ranked fourth in Rhode Island).

Meanwhile, Wilbraham & Monson Academy came up short against Williston Northampton on Wednesday, falling 7-2.

Wilbraham & Monson Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-7-3. As for Pomfret School, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Pomfret School skirted past Wilbraham & Monson Academy 1-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Do the Griffins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
