Basketball Game Preview: Foster Falcons vs. George Ranch Longhorns

The Foster Falcons are taking a road trip to take on the George Ranch Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.

Foster is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest loss since November 15, 2024 last Friday. They fell just short of Alief Hastings by a score of 58-56. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 519th, while the Bears are ranked 211th).

Meanwhile, George Ranch came up short against Alief Hastings on Friday and fell 49-41.

Foster's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for George Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 10-19.

Foster barely slipped by George Ranch in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 47-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Foster since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
