Recap: Whitinsville Christian Crusaders vs. Maimonides M-Cats
The Whitinsville Christian Crusaders managed to keep up with the Maimonides M-Cats until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Whitinsville Christian suffered a rough 59-35 loss at the hands of Maimonides. While losing is never fun, Whitinsville Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while Maimonides is ranked 64th).
Whitinsville Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Caleb Deters, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Desmarais, who scored ten points.
Whitinsville Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8. As for Maimonides, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.
Whitinsville Christian will head out on the road to challenge Assabet Valley RVT at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Whitinsville Christian is coming into the game with five straight defeats on the road, meaning Assabet Valley RVT will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. As for Maimonides, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Neighborhood House Charter at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neighborhood House Charter is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
