Basketball Recap: Rangely Takes a Loss

If Rangely was riding high fresh off their 52-31 takedown of Dugway on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers took a 54-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Manila Mustangs on Friday. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Rangely lost, don't look at Landon Bollinger. Despite the final result, he shot 42% from the field on his way to 12 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Petty, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Rangely's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Manila, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Rangely wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-26 victory against Mount Vernon on the 6th. As for Manila, they have also already played their next matchup, a 71-49 win against Hayden on the 6th.
