It was an underclassman who stole the show on Tuesday as Hailey Hoeft came into the matchup on a mission. She wasn't messing around, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). The pitching appearance was her seventh straight with two or fewer walks.
