Football Game Preview: Gregory Gorillas vs. Bon Homme Cavaliers

The Gregory Gorillas will head out on the road to square off against the Bon Homme Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gregory has given up an average of 30.1 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Gregory came up short against Parkston on Friday, falling 42-20. The loss continues a trend for the Gorillas in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Bon Homme faced Platte/Geddes in a battle between two of the state's top teams two weeks ago. The Cavaliers blew past the Black Panthers 26-0. Considering the Cavaliers have won five games by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bon Homme has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.3 points over those games. As for Gregory, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Gregory took a serious blow against Bon Homme in their previous meeting back in September, falling 49-18. Can the Gorillas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
