Baseball Game Preview: Dysart Demons vs. Greenway Demons

Dysart will venture away from home to take on Greenway at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Dysart's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Cortez as they made off with a 23-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Demons as they're now sitting on five straight.

The team relied heavily on Aaron Olivas, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephen Rivera, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Dysart kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Greenway came into Saturday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past Peoria 16-5 on Saturday. The game was the first time the Demons have beaten the Panthers on their field since February 26, 2018.

Dysart's record is now 10-8. As for Greenway, their record now sits at 9-11.
