Baseball Recap: Clarkston Has No Trouble Against Rogers

Clarkston won the last time they faced Rogers and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bantams blew past the Pirates 9-2.

Jacen Farrally was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Clarkston's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-9-1 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Otis Phillips, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

The win got Clarkston back to even at 9-9-1. As for Rogers, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Clarkston will head out to take on Deer Park at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rogers, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Pirates are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a 17-game losing streak.
