Volleyball Recap: Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Takes a Loss

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe was the 2-1 winner over Sonoraville when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Phoenix on Saturday.

Ajla Rizvic paced Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's offense, picking up three kills. Rizvic were helped by Gabby Deforest and Kinley Slatton, who contributed two assists each. Rizvic was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's loss dropped their record down to 9-19. As for Sonoraville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Northwest Whitfield on the 20th. As for Sonoraville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Christian Heritage on the 20th.
