Basketball Recap: Dirigo's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Dirigo unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. Their2024 ended with a 44-28 loss against the Winthrop Ramblers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-28 on December 5th.

Dirigo's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Winthrop, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Dirigo Cougars take on the North Yarmouth Academy Panthers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Winthrop, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Hall-Dale at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
