Baseball Recap: Freer Comes Up Short

Freer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bracken Christian Warriors.

Freer saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Gonzales, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. Gonzales is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Freer now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Bracken Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.

Freer has already played their next match, a 14-5 loss against Pearsall on the 7th. As for Bracken Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-8 win against Hebbronville on the 8th.
