Volleyball Recap: Iola Takes a Loss

Iola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Wellsville Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Iola was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 12 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-12.

Iola's defeat dropped their record down to 6-21. As for Wellsville, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-10.

Looking ahead, Iola will face off against Prairie View at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wellsville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Burlington on the 9th.
