Basketball Recap: Accel Academy Comes Up Short

Accel Academy played a tough matchup on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Citronelle Wildcats an easy 48-27 victory. Accel Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Citronelle was led to victory by Taishauna Moody and Chloe Lynn. Moody posted 19 points, while Lynn put up 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmagrace Weaver, who earned six points.

Accel Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Citronelle, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-7.

Accel Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Citronelle, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on LeFlore at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
