Softball Preview: South Oldham Dragons vs. Oldham County Colonels
South Oldham is 0-10 against Oldham County since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Dragons will challenge the Colonels at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
South Oldham played in-conference for the first time on Monday and got just the result they were looking for. They blew past North Oldham 13-4. The win was nothing new for the Dragons as they're now sitting on four straight.
Meanwhile, Oldham County got the win against Elizabethtown on Friday by a conclusive 19-3.
Natalie Cheatham was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Lori Edgar, who fired off two home runs while going 2-for-3.
Oldham County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .625. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
South Oldham's record now sits at 20-11. As for Oldham County, their record is now 26-9.
