It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Boyd Yellowjackets can now relate to. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 79-58 walloping at the hands of the Trojans on Tuesday. Boyd's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Boyd still got an impressive performance from Trey Robinson, who scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was Payton Boyer, who scored 14 points.
Davonta Morgan-Collins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Madison, scoring 25 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Morgan-Collins has scored all season. Kailen Cade was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Boyd's defeat dropped their record down to 17-19. As for Madison, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.
