Baseball Recap: Boiling Springs Falls Short of Mid Valley in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Boiling Springs can now relate to. They fell just short of the Mid Valley Spartans by a score of 6-4 on Monday. The Bubblers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Landon McMahon was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Labuda, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Boiling Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Mid Valley, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-4.

Boiling Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mid Valley, they will take on Pope John Paul II on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 2.6, Pope John Paul II 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
