Baseball Recap: Dodge City Takes a Loss

Dodge City had lost six straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 7-12 to make it seven. They came up short against the Great Bend Panthers, falling 12-0. The game snapped a strange streak: the last six times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Dodge City saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyson Bogner, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

As for Great Bend, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The result was nothing new for Great Bend, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.

On Great Bend's side, the team relied heavily on Ian Premer, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Wondra, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

While Dodge City had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
