Basketball Game Preview: Shiloh Generals vs. Woodward Academy War Eagles

The Shiloh Generals are taking a road trip to challenge the Woodward Academy War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Shiloh lost to Arabia Mountain on the road by a 72-55 margin. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Rams are ranked 96th).

Meanwhile, Woodward Academy entered their tilt with Milton on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They secured a 65-60 W over the Eagles.

The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Z Williams and Londyn Walker. Williams had a solid game and went 6 for 14 on her way to 12 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Meanwhile, Walker was balling out in the loss, going 6 of 14 en route to 19 points and five boards.

Shiloh's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-11. As for Woodward Academy, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.

Shiloh ended up a good deal behind Woodward Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, losing 53-39. Can Shiloh avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
