Baseball Recap: Latta Takes a Loss

Latta fell victim to Rattan and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 8-0 to the Rams. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

Latta has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for Rattan, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-2.

Latta and Rattan should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. The Panthers (ranked 71st) will meet Hartshorne (ranked 214th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rattan will challenge Stuart at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (8 vs. 86). The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rams 2.2, the Hornets 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
