American lost against Newark Memorial on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. Dillon Hsiao made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. He is becoming a predictor of American's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 1-11 when he doesn't).

American's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Newark Memorial, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.
