The Sierra Canyon Trailblazers will challenge the Mira Costa Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sierra Canyon will be looking to extend their current 17-game winning streak.

Sierra Canyon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Mater Dei.

Maddie Zaragoza was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 16 digs and three aces.

Meanwhile, Mira Costa and Marymount (ranked 26th and eighth in the MaxPreps national rankings respectively) squared off in a high-profile match two weeks ago. The Mustangs came up short against the Sailors, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Mustangs haven't been shut out since back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 25-15.

Mira Costa's defeat dropped their record down to 24-10. As for Sierra Canyon, their victory bumped their record up to 39-3.

Sierra Canyon skirted past Mira Costa 2-1 when the teams last played back in October. Will the Trailblazers repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
