Key West dropped down to 4-3 on Saturday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They had to suffer through a 56-0 loss at the hands of the Northwestern Bulls. Having soared to a lofty 36 points in the game before, the Conchs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Northwestern, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.0 points on average over those games.

Northwestern got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Irwin James out in front who rushed for 72 yards and one score on only ten carries. Calvin Russell Jr. was another key receiver, picking up 63 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Key West will host Lehigh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Conchs will be up against the Lightning's rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.14 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Northwestern, they will challenge Palmetto at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 11.9 points per game this season, so the Bulls' offense will have their work cut out for them.
