Key West dropped down to 4-3 on Saturday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They took a blow against the Northwestern Bulls, falling 56-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Conchs were not able to get on the board.

As for Northwestern, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.0 points on average over those games.

Northwestern got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Irwin James out in front who rushed for 72 yards and one score on only ten carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Calvin Russell Jr., who picked up 63 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Key West didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-22 win against Lehigh on the 17th. As for Northwestern, they have also already played their next game, a 28-0 victory against Palmetto on the 17th.
