Football Recap: St. Thomas More Comes Up Short + How To Watch

St. Thomas More had lost four straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped down to 0-4 to make it five. They were outmatched by the South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville Ponies and fell 52-16. The Sabers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ponies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

As for South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. That looming 52-16 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville had a senior duo take command as Brodey Vanhooser threw for 209 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes and George Bailey rushed for 96 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries. Bailey is also crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. 96 of Vanhooser's passing yards were hauled in by Brody Lush.

Coming up, St. Thomas More will welcome Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville, they will head out on the road to square off against St. Anne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
