Softball Recap: Shawnee Takes a Loss

Shawnee lost against Century back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Redskins fell just short of the Centurions by a score of 7-6.

Addilyn Clark spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Adyson Choate made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Eva Ford, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Shawnee's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Century, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5.

Coming up, Shawnee will venture away from home to challenge Agape Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Century, they will host Hardin County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
