Baseball Recap: Brimley Takes a Loss

Brimley blew Newberry out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Newberry got their revenge. The Bays fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Bays were not able to get on the board.

Brimley's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-10. As for Newberry, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brimley will square off against Harbor Light Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Swordsmen will roll in looking for their 17th straight victory, something the Bays surely won't give up without a fight. As for Newberry, they will take on Cedarville at 4:00 p.m. on the 27th.
