Soccer Recap: Pierce Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Pierce Bears came up short against the Colusa RedHawks and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 959th, while the RedHawks are ranked 342nd).

Pierce's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Colusa, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pierce will challenge Winters at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Winters' last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Colusa, they will square off against Williams at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Williams will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Colusa surely won't give up without a fight.
