Baseball Game Preview: Lecanto Panthers vs. Central Bears

For the second straight game, Lecanto will face off against Central. The Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Lecanto fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Central on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears. Panthers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bears since on Tuesday.

For Central's part, the team relied heavily on Jayden Warren, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4. Warren is becoming a predictor of the Bears' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-10 when he doesn't).

Lecanto's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Central, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-10.
