Spanish River is 0-4 against American Heritage since February of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Spanish River Sharks will take on the American Heritage Stallions at 6:30 p.m. Spanish River will be strutting in after a victory while American Heritage will be coming in after a loss.
Spanish River was handed a seven-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Dr. Joaquin Garcia 7-6. The Sharks haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Jesse Chimenti and Domenic Salter made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Chimenti pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Salter pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Chimenti gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in February. At the plate, Chimenti scored a run while going 1-for-5, while Salter scored a run while going 3-for-4. Chimenti also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season.
In other pitching news, Cam Brooks looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Sean Beaulieu, who scored a run while going 2-for-5. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Shane Price, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, American Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Pine Crest.
American Heritage also got a good showing from Anthony Toscano, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Ryan Ashley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
American Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Spanish River, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Spanish River came up short against American Heritage in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 6-3. Can Spanish River avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
