Baseball Game Preview: Cypress Centurions vs. Foothill Knights

The Cypress Centurions will head out on the road to face off against the Foothill Knights at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Cypress' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Foothill's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Last Friday, Cypress didn't have quite enough to beat Villa Park and fell 5-3.

Meanwhile, Foothill unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 6-1 to El Dorado.

Foothill got a good showing from Grady Wright, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Wright has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Foothill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sean Green, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Cypress' defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Foothill, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.

Cypress came out on top in a nail-biter against Foothill in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Centurions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
