Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Trinity Christian can bid farewell to their 16-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against the Brentwood War Eagles by a score of 71-59. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Crusaders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 566th, while the War Eagles are ranked 101st).

When it comes to explaining why Brentwood lost, don't look at Tristan Robinson. Despite the final result, he posted 34 points. Those 34 points gave Robinson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Baylor Cobb, who earned ten points.

Trinity Christian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-15. As for Brentwood, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 15 games and leaves them with a 15-1 record.

Trinity Christian has already played their next game (against Central Fellowship Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Brentwood will challenge George Walton Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
