Softball Game Preview: Pickering Red Devils vs. Rosepine Eagles

Pickering is 0-10 against Rosepine since March of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Red Devils will be playing at home against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Pickering's offense. They came up short against DeQuincy on Tuesday, falling 11-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Red Devils' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Hicks hit Rosepine with a six-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles lost 17-5 to the Pirates.

Analeigh Roberts was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and one stolen base while going 2-for-3. Those home runs were her first of the season.

Rosepine's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Pickering, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Pickering might still be hurting after the 15-2 defeat they got from Rosepine in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
