Basketball Recap: Amir Gregory Key Part of a Team Effort in Badgers Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Stuart Hall, Tandem Friends was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Wakefield Country Day Owls by a score of 46-39. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 59-32 back in December of 2024.

Tandem Friends' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amir Gregory, who posted 14 points. Sean Tyler was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Despite the loss, Wakefield Country Day still got an impressive performance from Alfredo Martinez, who went 10 of 22 en route to 23 points in addition to five boards and four steals. What's more, Martinez also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jacob Didomenico, who earned 11 points and five assists.

The victory got Tandem Friends back to even at 4-4. As for Wakefield Country Day, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Tandem Friends has already played their next contest, a 55-47 defeat against Randolph-Macon Academy on the 17th. As for Wakefield Country Day, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 47-45 win against Massanutten Military Academy on the 17th.
