Basketball Recap: Booker Wins Going Away Against Braden River

Booker lost to Braden River back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Booker Tornadoes put the hurt on the Braden River Pirates with a sharp 65-40 victory.

Chris Perets was his usual excellent self, putting up 25 points. The team also got some help courtesy of J.P Lattimore, who posted 11 points.

Despite the defeat, Braden River saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Anquan Polynice almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. Jaron Fields was another key player, posting six points and three steals.

The win got Booker back to even at 4-4. As for Braden River, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Booker wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 79-49 victory against Bayshore on the 19th. As for Braden River, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-52 loss against Bradenton Christian on the 21st.
