Volleyball Recap: Laurens' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

There's no place like home for Laurens, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past the Belton-Honea Path Bears 3-0 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Raiders: when they faced off against the Bears back in August, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Laurens never let Belton-Honea Path on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-23, 25-20.

Alexus Clay paced Laurens' offense, picking up ten kills. Clay got some help from Aleigha Johnson and her 27 assists. Carrie Bartley controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

With the win, Laurens broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 8-17-2. As for Belton-Honea Path, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15-1 record this season.

Laurens does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Belton-Honea Path, they will square off against Mountain View Prep on Wednesday.
