Baseball Recap: Spartanburg Takes a Loss

Spartanburg lost against Lexington back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Sunday. The Spartanburg Vikings fell just short of the Lexington Wildcats by a score of 5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Spartanburg and nudges their season record down to 1-3. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Lexington, they now have a winning record of 2-1-1.

Spartanburg has already played their next game, a 5-2 win against James F. Byrnes on the 11th. As for Lexington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-3 defeat against Charlotte Christian on the 11th.
