Softball Recap: Anamosa Takes a Loss

Anamosa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-1 to the Alburnett Pirates. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 13-0 to the Pirates when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Anamosa's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Alburnett, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Anamosa wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Monticello on the 5th. As for Alburnett, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-1 victory against Easton Valley on the 5th.
