Soccer Recap: Boca Ciega Comes Up Short

Boca Ciega lost against St. Petersburg back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Boca Ciega Pirates lost 10-1 to the St. Petersburg Green Devils. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 476th, while the Green Devils are ranked 99th).

This is the second loss in a row for Boca Ciega and nudges their season record down to 4-9. As for St. Petersburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Boca Ciega does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Petersburg, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 7-1 loss against Palm Harbor University on the 16th.
