Karnes City waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Poth Pirates a 9-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for the Badgers: when they faced off against the Pirates on April 4th, they had to take a 7-2 loss.

Karnes City's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Poth, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 19-6 record.
