Basketball Recap: Edisto Victorious

Edisto lost to Branchville two weeks ago, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Edisto Cougars snuck past the Branchville Yellow Jackets with a 41-36 victory.

When it comes to explaining why Branchville lost, don't look at Kyran Glover. Despite the final result, he posted 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That was a full 58.3% of Branchville's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Felder, who had nine points.

The win got Edisto back to even at 4-4. As for Branchville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Edisto wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 59-34 loss against Marion on the 28th. As for Branchville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-39 victory against New Hope Leadership Academy on the 28th.
