Softball Game Preview: Camden Academy Charter vs. LEAP Academy Lancers

Camden Academy Charter will face off against the LEAP Academy Lancers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Camden Academy Charter put up the most runs they have all season on Wednesday. They came out on top against Pennsauken Tech by a score of 25-21. The win was some much needed relief for Camden Academy Charter as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, LEAP Academy got the win against Camden on Wednesday by a conclusive 25-2. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

LEAP Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.3 runs over those games. As for Camden Academy Charter, their win bumped their record up to 2-9.

Camden Academy Charter might still be hurting after the 21-14 defeat they got from LEAP Academy in their previous meeting back in April. Can Camden Academy Charter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
