Joliet West hit Plainfield East with a eight-run second inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bengals lost 11-4 to the Tigers.

Joliet West has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-15 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Plainfield East, their loss dropped their record down to 7-21-1.
