Volleyball Game Preview: Scotus Shamrocks vs. Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders

Scotus hasn't had much luck against Grand Island Central Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Shamrocks will challenge the Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. Scotus will be strutting in after a win while Grand Island Central Catholic will be coming in after a loss.

Scotus took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Lincoln Christian, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Shamrocks won by a set and slipped past the Crusaders 2-1. The victory was some much needed relief for the Shamrocks as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Grand Island Central Catholic came up short against Concordia on Saturday and fell 2-0.

Scotus' win bumped their record up to 9-16. As for Grand Island Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12.

Scotus took their victory against Grand Island Central Catholic in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Shamrocks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
