Volleyball Recap: Toni Woodruff Key Part of Team Effort in Huskies Win

Eau Claire North won the last time they faced Prescott and things went their way on Saturday too. The Huskies came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 2-0.

Eau Claire North easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-4.

Eau Claire North's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Toni Woodruff led the charge by getting seven aces and four assists. Those seven aces gave Woodruff a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Vance, who had 12 assists and five digs.

They weren't the only good server: Eau Claire North was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They are a perfect 4-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Eau Claire North's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Prescott, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Eau Claire North has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Altoona on the 20th. Prescott has also already played their next match (against La Crosse Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
