Soccer Game Preview: Bexley vs. Westerville North

The Bexley Lions will face off against the Westerville North Warriors at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.

Bexley is headed into the match having not lost since September 3 and will look to keep things rolling. Neither they nor Granville could gain the upper hand on Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. Bexley's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Westerville North faced Dublin Scioto in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Warriors won by a goal and slipped past the Irish 4-3. The high-scoring effort was just what Westerville North needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

They hit Dublin Scioto with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Travon Fountain (2), Carter Smith, and Andy Konadu.

Westerville North is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 13-1-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those 11 matches. Bexley's draw gives them a new season record of 11-2-3.
