Catonsville lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Sparrows Point, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Comets put the hurt on the Pointers with a sharp 8-2 win on Thursday. Considering the Comets have won five games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Catonsville has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Sparrows Point, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-8.

Looking ahead, Catonsville will look to defend their home field on Monday against Century at 4:00 p.m. As for Sparrows Point, they will venture away from home to square off against Dulaney at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so the Pointers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
